Pool Construction Tips

Hi, I'm Mandy. If you're looking for tips on pool construction, you've come to the right place. We've just had a new pool installed and I'm full of advice! When I started on our pool I thought it would be an easy build. Boy, was I wrong. I didn't know anything about building a pool apart from the fact I wanted one. Luckily, our construction company set me straight. They helped me work out how big the pool could be and they showed me which shape would suit our yard space. They sorted out permits and even gave me advice on fencing. To find out what I learned, read through my blog. Hope it helps!

A Smooth Move: How Hiring a Skip Bin Will Make Your Move Less Stressful

by Bessie Beck

Moving house is one of life's greatest challenges. Not only are you leaving friends behind, but you're also taking a lifetime of possessions with you. It's bound to be a journey filled with challenges. However, with careful planning in advance of your move, you can keep your stress levels to a minimum so you can focus on the next phase of your life.

Of course, when it comes to sifting through your possessions, it is best to start weeks in advance of moving day. If you dispose of most of the clutter and unwanted items early, by the time you start packing, you'll have more space and less stress.

If you are moving in the coming months, consider hiring a skip bin. Skip bins can simplify your move in several ways.

You Can Decide How Long to Keep Your Skip Bin

When you hire a skip bin, you can decide how long you will keep it at your property. As a result, you could order your skip bin several months in advance, and then start to declutter your home before you begin packing. Provided you inform your skip bin provider first, you can keep the skip bin until it is full. Once full, your provider will remove it for you.

Doing this will allow you to achieve several things.

  • You'll free up space for packing.
  • You'll free up space in rooms for storing boxes that you have already packed.
  • You'll have more room to move about in as you sort through your things.
  • You'll make moving furniture around your house much easier.

However, if you plan to move during a holiday season, such as Christmas, ensure that you book your skip bin well in advance. Otherwise, you may be limited in how long you can keep the skip bin. Worse, your skip bin provider may not have any skip bins available at the time you need one.

You Can Easily Empty Your Yard and Garage

Before your move, you'll also want to clear your garage and your yard. Because your skip bin will be either on your driveway or on the nearby nature strip, disposing of items from your garage or yard will be a simple matter.

However, remember that you will need a separate skip bin, one for green waste, for your yard waste if you plan to empty both your yard and garage. Ensure that you inform your skip bin provider of your plans if this is the case. They can then reserve both types of skip bin, one for general household waste and one for green waste, in advance of your move.

Are you moving this summer? Then be sure to book a skip bin or two if you want to clear the clutter before you start packing.
