Pool Construction Tips

Hi, I'm Mandy. If you're looking for tips on pool construction, you've come to the right place. We've just had a new pool installed and I'm full of advice! When I started on our pool I thought it would be an easy build. Boy, was I wrong. I didn't know anything about building a pool apart from the fact I wanted one. Luckily, our construction company set me straight. They helped me work out how big the pool could be and they showed me which shape would suit our yard space. They sorted out permits and even gave me advice on fencing. To find out what I learned, read through my blog. Hope it helps!

Different Docks You Can Consider For Your Commercial Seafront Property

by Bessie Beck

If you are deliberating on how best to enhance the functionality of your commercial seafront property, hiring marine contractors for deck installation will be a great solution. Docks come in an assortment of options so they can suit any type of shoreline. Therefore, whether your commercial property experiences low or high traffic, there is a doc to suit your needs.

Moreover, you can also opt for the customisation of your dock so that it is designed in accordance with your specifications. Nonetheless, to select the right type of dock, an excellent starting point will be to familiarise yourself with the types available. Below are three different kinds of docks that you can consider for your commercial seafront property.

A floating dock

This type of dock is one of the most common removable options that you can consider. Unlike its permanent counterparts, a floating dock is not secured to the seabed. This type of installation offers a couple of benefits including minimal obstruction to both marine life as well as the environment. When your commercial marine contractors construct this dock, they will employ the use of anchors that are held in place via robust roping systems to keep the dock in place. Furthermore, the construction of a floating dock is quite simple, which translates into affordable construction and labour costs. While floating docks are budget-friendly, it does not take away from their ability to be employed for a host of activities.

A pipe dock

Another lightweight alternative you can consider when constructing a dock for your seafront property is the pipe variety. These types of docks are installed above legs, which allow the structure to float above the water. While most pipe docks are designed to be stationary, you can always opt to customise yours with wheels that allow for convenient removal. Pipe docks are one of the cheapest options you can consider and are beneficial to the environment since their construction has minimal impact.

A crib dock

These types of docks get their name from the containers that are employed to secure the dock onto the shoreline. The cribs (or containers) are filled with boulders or other types of rock that will weigh down the dock and function as anchors. Once the cribs are in place, the dock is constructed above them to provide accessibility to the waterfront. Crib docks are permanent structures so are best suited to commercial properties that you own rather than lease.
