Pool Construction Tips

Hi, I'm Mandy. If you're looking for tips on pool construction, you've come to the right place. We've just had a new pool installed and I'm full of advice! When I started on our pool I thought it would be an easy build. Boy, was I wrong. I didn't know anything about building a pool apart from the fact I wanted one. Luckily, our construction company set me straight. They helped me work out how big the pool could be and they showed me which shape would suit our yard space. They sorted out permits and even gave me advice on fencing. To find out what I learned, read through my blog. Hope it helps!

Consider these Three Qualities when Hiring an Appropriate Portaloo

by Bessie Beck

A portaloo is one of the most convenient ways to handle washroom needs of your crowd when you have an event, or even when you have a temporary construction project. However, since hiring a portable toilet is not the kind of thing which everyone does on a daily basis, it can be challenging to select one appropriately. If the loos are to cater for a function, there is the pressure of knowing that the small toilets will be providing for the needs of hundreds of people, yet you want the site to remain as hygienic and fresh as possible throughout the event. Here are some considerations that are important to make when hiring a portaloo.

The design of the loo

Most people believe that all portable toilets are created equal. Well, the truth is that some bathrooms are better than others, and each design will have its inherent advantages and disadvantages. However, there are some bare minimum qualities that you should strive to have on your toilets.  First, ensure that the bathroom has sufficient internal space such that when someone gets into the enclosure, they can move around and handle their business with ease. Lack of interior space often leads to messes and reduces the comfort the user will enjoy when using the amenity.

Proper ventilation

As mentioned, the portaloo will cater to the needs of many people throughout a few hours. If it is not well ventilated, the air inside will get less flattering as the time passes, and by the end of the day, it could become completely unbearable. It is, therefore, essential to make sure that the odours from within the loo have a way out of the enclosure. Note that retention of bad smells also means that the toilet could be harbouring bacteria, which is not good for the health of the people using the amenity.

Ease of cleaning

When toilets receive heavy traffic of people, and especially when the people are attending a feast or event, it is not uncommon for severe messes to be created. The surfaces of your portaloo need to be easy to clean so that if a mess happens, it can be easily cleaned without having to shut down the entire setup for an hour.

Other qualities to look for include the general cleanliness of the toilets when they get to you and the capacity of the loo. When you consider all these factors, you can select a bathroom that takes you through all your events successfully. For more information, contact a local portaloo hire company.
